Slang 1996
Def Leppard used a sample of an Indian Sarangi instrument on Turn To Dust from the 1996 Slang album and the original is available.
The sample from a piece by Ram Narayan was listed incorrectly on the album sleeve as "Mishra Bahiravi". It is actually Mishra Bhairavi and can be heard in full below as posted by rahmankant.
The sample used at the start of 'Turn To Dust' features the first 30 seconds or so of the piece which actually lasts for over 10 minutes. Only the first minute of two resemble the part used on the Slang album.
The reissue of the classic 1996 album is due in mid-February featuring a number of extra tracks.
All previous updates on this release and new music can be found in the Album News section.
