The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Hello my lovelies and welcome to Trecco Bay in Wales. Sorry about that, I learnt the Welsh accent from my tour manager, Mr Malvin Mortimer, born and bred in the valleys. But we're not in the valleys, we're actually on the coast. It's a little nippy but it's beautiful because it's Rockstock weekend. It kicked off last night and it goes on until tomorrow and it's gonna get even better in a few hours cause the Down 'n' Outz will be on. Now last week I finished the show with UFO. I'm gonna start this week with a guy that's headlining tonight Mr. Michael Schenker."

Rolling Stones/Faces

"And I play that for obvious reasons too because this week we lost two in just a couple of days and it's just unbelievable to think that we've lost Ian McKlagan and Bobby Keys in the same week. There we had the Faces with Stay With Me featuring of course Ian McKlagan on the keyboards and before that playing THAT solo. Yes, as good as you'll ever hear on a saxophone in rock and roll. We heard Bobby Keys in the Rolling Stones with Brown Sugar."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is it for this week from Trecco Bay in Wales home of Rockstock 2014. I shall be back with you next Saturday at the same time from one of my favourite cities in the whole of the British Isles, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne where the Down 'n' Outz will be enjoying a lovely day off. So until next week I shall leave you with this. No, it is not a song about Joey Tempest. Neither is it a song about myself, who for the last sixty minutes has so far successfully managed to suppress this cough that I thought I'd got rid of. Sadly I haven't. However this is well worth listening to. From their album The Latest this is Cheap Trick and Sick Man Of Europe. Until next week see ya!."
