The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome it is Planet Rock. It's that time of night it's the Joe Elliott show and it is coming to you this week all the way from Houston, Texas on the eve of the very last night of the Def Leppard/KISS tour of the USA. If that's something to shout about. I don't know what is. In fact Shout It Out Loud."

"Well who knows what kind of shenanigans will go on tomorrow night because notoriously between the two bands of the last night of a tour there's always some kind of little vibe goes off. It could be something as simple as a cream pie in the face. Something as clever as what Pat Travers did to us in 1980 which is sticky tape all over the stage so you couldn't move. Or it could be something as disgusing as Gene Simmons trying to put his tongue into my mouth - for the third time on this tour. We'll have to wait and see. I will report back to you next week."

Show Outro

"Recorded in five days and very underrated in my opinion that is Mott The Hoople from the album Brain Capers back in 1972 before they broke big with All The Young Dudes with a song called The Moon Upstairs and before that from his Anthology album Look What I Did we heard Joe Walsh with Welcome To The Club. And that my friends from Houston, Texas on the eve of the Def Leppard/KISS final night of the tour is about it for this week. I shall be back with you next week from Mexico. Where Def Leppard are doing a couple of solo shows. Unti then I'm gonna leave you with this classic AC/DC number. From their album Let There Be Rock this is Dog Eat Dog. Until next week see ya!."
