The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome to the Joe Elliott show right here on Planet Rock and greetings from Clarkston, MI where the Def Leppard/KISS tour rolls on. In fact this time next week they'll be just one show left. I haven't mentioned over the last few weeks that there is a third band on the bill. It started off at the beginning of the tour we had a Canadian group called Kobra And The Lotus. Now we've got this bunch or reprobates from all over the planet. This is The Dead Daisies."

Doctors Of Madness

"Very excited to find out just a few months ago that the Doctors Of Madness are actually reforming for a one off show in about seven or eight weeks time. Which I shall be flying in for and I've got friends in Sheffield that'll be getting the sharrowbang together and driving down for that. Kid Strange the leader of the band has put the band back together as part of an art festival he's doing. And that from an album called Late Night Movies, All Night Brainstorms is the Doctors of Madness with B Movie Bedtime."

Down 'n' Outz Bassist

"If you've been following The Further Adventures Of The Down 'n' Outz and I truly hope that you have. You'll be aware that we're doing a ten date tour of Britain and Ireland in December. Which of course includes the Rock Stock festival on the 6th December at Trecco Bay in Wales. You may have also read recently that we have a brand new bass player. And she is Share Ross best known for her work in Vixen and that's who we just heard there with a very Beatles influenced song called Sparklestar from one of her side projects Bubble."

Show Outro

"And that brings this weeks show to an end folks been a pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week from Houston, TX. The day before the very last show of the Def Leppard/KISS tour of the USA. So until then gonna leave you with this classic piece of 80s music. You can really hear where Kurt Cobain got some of his influences from when you listen to this track. From an album called Night Time this is Eighties by Killing Joke. Until next week see ya!."
