Borna - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

Playing On Stage With KISS

"Jon Beswick who does all their screens and stuff for KISS all the live footage and everything you see up on stage he used to work for us. he mentioned it and the next thing I heard there was Doc McGhee and Tommy and Paul saying so what song are you gonna do?. So I'm like er OK so I went through a few of them and I thought Deuce would be a good one because it's kind of got a lot of guitars and solos and that. And literally you know I borrowed Paul's boots and some of the gear so I was the same size as the guys otherwise I'd have been tiny. It was such a blast. But you know I really had to walk around getting used to the boots cause they're like seven inch platforms and that was my big fear I thought I'm gonna fall over in front of all these people. But I got used to it you know it was actually pretty cool."

"I'm only the second person ever apparently in 40 years so Joe Perry from Aerosmith was the other guy so I'm in good company. Yeah it was really cool and I was honoured it was such a blast."

2015 Studio Album

"We got a new album coming out next year. We've actually been working on that we've got like 15 tracks and we're just finishing them off in the gaps in between tours and whatever ."

2015 Autobiography

"Yeah absolutely Chris Epting he's a writer and he said do you wanna do this and I said no I really didn't feel like it. And he said no, no it's so interesting he just reeled off a bunch of stuff that I'd done and he said you know it would be really cool if talked about this and that. And I said OK well get it together and see if anyone's interested lo and behold they were. So yeah we just started not really interviews we just started talking and talking and he broke it down and then me and wife Helen just wrote it down again so it actually sounds like me talking. You know it was actually me narrating it. So there's a big process that went into it. It wasn't just a kind of - being interviewed and someone else just writing it. It's me actually speaking so yeah and we just dug into it as much as I could remember really about everything. So lots of different things really. So yeah that'll be out next year I guess."
