Europe lead singer Joey Tempest has said touring with Def Leppard in 1988 was one of his band's career highlights.
Joey was speaking to the Rotherham Advertiser to promote a 9 date UK tour with Foreigner and FM that kicked off last night in Manchester and heads to the Sheffield City Hall on the 8th.
Europe supported Def Leppard for all 26 outdoor shows in July/August 1988 on the Hysteria tour as the band hit Number One on the album charts. They also played with the band in 2013 at five shows including four in Spain.
Joey praised the band and crew last June after posting a backstage photo with Joe in Madrid.

In the 30-plus years the band has been going, there have been many highlights for Joey. "There was our appearance on Top of the Pops in 1987. I met Bon Jovi that day. Also, touring with Def Leppard in '88 when their Sugar Me was riding high.
"And of course recently we played with Whitesnake and Def Leppard in Spain; it was amazing and I got to sing with David Coverdale."
