On This Day in Def Leppard History - 7th September, the following concerts and events took place. Including the first show of the final leg of the Hysteria tour in Jackson, MS 25 years ago on this day in 1988.
The show kicked off a two month run of In The Round shows which ended the 14 month "Hystouria" world tour.
As this leg began the Hysteria album was in its first week of a three week run at Number One on the Billboard Top 200 chart. It had already spent 3 weeks at the top on 23rd/30th July and 13th August. During the final month of the tour the band had its first and only Number One single in the USA with 'Love Bites'.
As of 2013, Def Leppard have played 10 times on this date.
