On This Day in Def Leppard History - 24th July, the following concerts and events took place. Including the 'Promises/Back In Your Face' single reaching number 41 in the UK Top 40 singles chart on this day in 1999.

The first single from the 'Euphoria' album, a double A-Side, spent 1 week on the chart suffering from being released 4 weeks after the album and 6 weeks after a UK TV performance.

Ian Hunter joined the band onstage for a second time on this day in 2000 to sing lead vocals on 'All The Young Dudes' in Wantagh, NY.

Also on 'these days' in 2006, 2007 and 2009 the band played shows at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit, MI. The only time the band have played three shows in the same city/venue on consecutive tours on the exact same date.
