Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott hosted another edition of his weekly radio show last night on Planet Rock.

This weeks show included classic songs by Sparks, Roxy Music and Elton John in a Glam themed special.

Joe mentioned recently being interviewed by musician friend Marcus Blake (who he's mentioned before on the show). Check out a couple of photos posted on flickr by Marcus of them together - one of which is from a Sparks show in London. Marcus also posted audio clips of Joe talking about his solo album on Soundcloud (with another photo included) - (see links below).

The full playlist is shown below along with a few of Joe's on air quotes.

The show is available until next Saturday using the On Demand feature. The show is also repeated on Tuesdays at 9pm.

The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome to a wet and kinda crazy, dull Dublin. Seems to me that the summer has taken a vacation and gone elsewhere let's hope that it'll be back soon. But it does mean it's been a great time to be indoors and in the studio. And this week I've been very happy to be working on the second Down 'N' Outz album with my friend and guitar player Paul Guerrin from the Down 'N' Outz and of course The Quireboys. Over doing some overdubs. Very productive, can't wait for you guys to hear that one day pretty soon hopefully. Today we're gonna have a glamtastic hour's worth of music. I did an interview recently with a good friend of mine and it just put all the glam music back into the forefront of my mind rolling shall we with this classic by Sweet."

Show outro

"And that my friends for this particular Glam-tastic edition of the Joe Elliott Show on the mighty Planet Rock is about it for this week. Gonna play this last song and it ties in beautifully with the last one. Dedicated to all the people who saw the Down 'N' Outz featuring Ian Hunter so unceremoniously booted off stage at the 2010 High Voltage festival. This is for all you that may have just seen a little scuffle at the side of the stage. This is Elton John and Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting. Till next week see ya!."
