Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen has released his own home demo version of Roxanne by The Police as recorded for the YEAH! album sessions.

The demo was recorded in early 2004 and was announced as part of the 24 songs Def Leppard recorded for the 'YEAH!' covers album. Like other songs eventually included on the Wal-Mart bonus CD this was performed and produced entirely by Phil himself at his home studio. The only song now unreleased from those 'YEAH!' sessions is a cover of the MC5 song 'Kick Out The Jams'.

The song has been released via YouTube and is listed as an unfinished demo with a very Manraze-esque feel to it. Listen to the song below courtesy of hisartistry (aka Helen Collen).

The original version by The Police (written by Sting) was released as a single in April 1978 and included on their debut album 'Outlandos d'Amour'.
