Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott was interviewed by TC for eUniverse in summer 2001 to promote the Cybernauts project.

Joe talked in great detail about the Cybernauts project (featuring the late Dick Decent) explaining their history dating back to the 1994 Mick Ronson Memorial up to the Japanese tour in 2000 and the live/studio album release in 2001.

Joe then goes on to talk about the work being done for the X album/writing with Mart Fredericksen, a possible Def Leppard box set, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the (then) forthcoming DVDs of the four VHS releases - with Joe mentioning audio commentaries the band had recorded that were ultimately not used. And finally the VH1 movie.

Way back in 2001 this was one of the first interviews mentioned on the original version of this site and one of the first updates from a band member on the progress of the then unreleased (and untitled) X album.

Listen to the full 27 minute interview below (audio only).
