On This Day in Def Leppard History - 8th October, the following concerts and events took place. Including the 'Love Bites' single reaching Number One on the Billboard Top 100 chart in the USA 24 years ago in 1988.
The only US Number One single for the band taken from the 'Hysteria' album. It spent a total of 23 weeks on the chart.
On the same day in 1988 the band played second of three nights at the Omni Arena in Atlanta where the band filmed extra scenes for the 'In The Round-In Your Face' concert film.
