On This Day in Def Leppard History - 5th October, the following concerts and events took place. Including the US release of the 'Retro-Active' album in 1993. The album reached number 9 in the US Top 200 album chart.
On this day in 1995 Sheffield held a 'Def Leppard Day' honouring the band for their contribution to the city. Events included the opening of the National Centre For Popular Music, a civic reception, the releasing of thousands of 'Vault' balloons in Tudor Square, plaques being unveiled at Crooke's Workingmen's Club and Don Valley Stadium and an acoustic concert at The Wapentake club. Footage from this show and these events were then used in the 'Video Archive' VHS release.
