On This Day in Def Leppard History - 31st October, the following concerts and events took place. Including the 'Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad' single reaching number 12 in the US Billboard Top 100 singles chart on this day in 1992.

The song spent 20 weeks on the chart and remains the biggest selling US single the band have released.

On this day in 2003 the band played their second London show of the year at Hammersmith Odeon. Queen guitarist Brian May joined the band on stage for the fourth time to perform Queen classic 'Tie Your Mother Down' as the final encore. Rick Allen's mother also appeared onstage to present him with a cake for his 40th birthday.
