Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott hosted another edition of his weekly radio show last night on Planet Rock.

This weeks show included songs by Ian Hunter, The Darkness, and the solo version of Mick Ronson song 'This Is For You' which was first played during his tribute to the late Dick Decent.

He also mentioned attending Ian Hunter's solo show in Northampton which took place last night at the Roadmenders venue. Joe (in keeping with tradition) got up to sing on his favourite song 'All The Young Dudes' along with members of Mott The Hoople including Mick Ralphs and Verden Allen (according to Ian Hunter fans in attendance).

The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Ian Hunter

"Now that's a great way to fly the flag for the old country isn't it. Ian Hunter from 1977 and the Overnight Angels album with England Rocks. Originally written as Cleveland Rocks, recorded as England Rocks for part of the Overnight Angels project and then two years later with Mick Ronson back on board he did it for the You're Never Alone With A Schizophrenic album as Cleveland Rocks."

Joe Elliott/Dick Decent

"If you were tuned in a few weeks ago you probably heard that song before. The song written by Annette Peacock and originally recorded by Mick Ronson on his 1975 Play Don't Worry album. That particular version is myself and Dick Decent. You may remember I was telling ya he was Def Leppard's part time keyboard player and big on the local scene round the black country area. He passed away about a month ago but since I've played it I've had so many emails from people saying is it available. Well sadly it isn't actually but it will be pretty soon in a slightly reworked form. I will let you know about that as soon as I have more details. The song This Is For You."
