The Joe Elliott Show - Quote

Manraze

"It's not actually a big secret but occasionally DJs are known to pre record the show the day before and that's exactly what I did last week. I did the show on a Friday and because of a bizarre set of circumstances there's a couple of issues that I need to address. Firstly it was Phil Collen's birthday last Saturday but because my laptop birthday alarm thingy doesn't tell me until the day of it was too late to mention it. And also very sadly I also found out Saturday that Huw-Lloyd Langton the guitar player from Hawkwind passed away. Now Huw played on Love Reign O'er Me which I chose to play last week so it's just a real strange set of circumstances here. So Phil, many happy belated birthday wishes and many, many more. And to Huw Lloyd-Langton from all Hakwind fans worldwide rest in peace brother you did a great job for Hawkwind, you did a great job on that Who tribute song and so Hawkwind in a minute but right now here's some Manraze."

Thin Lizzy/U2

"And I play that because just this Thursday gone I went to see Thin Lizzy at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin. It's a beautiful little Victorian Theatre very much looks like where The Muppets used to be and in fact I was in one of the boxes that normally would be frequented by people like Waldorf and statler from The Muppets but I was sat next to Larry Mullen Jr from U2 and the two of us were like those two puppets except we were cheering not jeering, whistling and singing along and having just a fantastic time and Lizzy were brilliant. Ricky Warwick nailed that song and that's why I picked that particular track because of all the songs that they're doing Suicide is just really, really kickin' it these days, great stuff. Talking of Larry Mullen here's a little bit of U2."
