News - Rock n Roll All-Stars Cancel Five More Shows

Tuesday, 24th April 2012

Rock n Roll All-Stars.

Rock n Roll All-Stars featuring Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott have now cancelled a further five shows on the Central and South American tour.

These include dates in Chile and Costa Rica which local press/ticket sites had already listed as being cancelled. The other planned shows in Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Colombia and Venezuela have also been called off. This means 8 of the scheduled 11 main shows will now not be happening.

The Rock n Roll All-Stars have released a statement to local press in these countries which can be seen below. It indicates local promoters are to blame as was the case in Brazil where other bands cancelled due to local promoter problems.

These problems were first mentioned in the news article about the Costa Rica cancellation (see quote below).

The band have so far played two main shows in Asuncion and Beunos Aires as well as the 22nd April club show. Their only remaining show is in Lima, Peru on 27th April. The offical facebook account seemed to indicate the cancellation before last nights show giving a message to fans in Lima.

Rock n Roll All-Stars - Cancellation Statement

Rock-N-Roll Allstars Forced TO Cancel Shows In Ecuador, COLOMBIA, Panama, Guatemala And Venezuela; Show In Lima, Peru Still Scheduled

"Rock-N-Roll Allstars regret to inform our fans that the shows we had scheduled in Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala and Venezuela have been cancelled. An incredible effort was made to work with local promoters to bring our show to the fans but they made it impossible for us to do so. We are saddened that we will not be coming to Central America and will do everything possible to ensure that our fans receive refunds for all tickets purchased. We are in South America and just had amazing shows in Paraguay and Argentina where thousands of fans came to hear the hits of Guns N' Roses, KISS, Def Leppard and more.
The show in Lima, Peru is still on sale and the band is still playing this show.
Thank you for your support and we hope to see each and every one of you soon."

Rock on,
