A music special featuring archive BBC performances of British acts who made it big in the US charts. The clips were shown in chronological order.
Def Leppard's 17th September 1987 Top Of The Pops playback performance was shown. This was taped on the 16th and caused a delay to the start of their show in Newcastle when they had to fly up north after the taping at the BBC studios in London. TOTP's was shown the following night in it's traditional Thursday night at 7:30pm slot on BBC1. This was the band's second appearance on the show after 'Animal' in August 1987.
