Joe Elliott saluted his hospitalised father on stage at the recent Def Leppard show in Milwaukee, WI on 5th July.
Joe Elliott Senior sadly passed away on 7th July in England aged 81. Joe pictured above was giving a salute to his Dad after completing the vocals for 'Love Bites' - his favourite Def Leppard song. Joe blew a kiss towards the sky and walked off stage as Vivian began his outro guitar solo.
It was later revealed Joe had been given the news of his Dad's worsening condition before this show but decided to play it anyway in tribute to him before rushing home the next day.
The next six concerts were of course rescheduled for late July/early August and the tour is due to resume soon.
