Joe Elliott and Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham were interviewed on Planet Rock radio last night by DJ Rob Birnie. The pair were promoting the new Thin Lizzy deluxe editions which were released on 24th January. Rob played two of the new remixes - 'The Boys Are Back In Town' and 'Jailbreak'.

"I first got to know Scott in 1980 when we'd signed to the same label. We were on Vertigo/Mercury and because of that connection it got me passes to the backstage area of the Sheffield City Hall. The 1980 album would have been - China Town and that's when I met Scott and they were staying in the hotel in Sheffield so we went back to the bar and - destroyed it probably!
"But before then and he won't remember this. In 1976/77/78 when I was a mere fan down the front at the City Hall. Lizzy were the only band in existence that used to let the fans through the dressing room like four at a time. So I'd actually met him three times but he hadn't met me if you know what I mean."
