Def Leppard and Heart have announced their 2011 North American summer tour dates today. The two bands will play over 40 shows across the USA with one show taking place in Canada. The tour kicks off in West Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday 15th June as predicted earlier this month by Joe Elliott. The tour ends on the 15th September in Auburn, Washington. The opening act has yet to be revealed.
The tour is mostly made up of outdoor amphitheatre venues in keeping with recent tours plus some indoor arena dates. Heart's official website initially announced the schedule which has now been confirmed by both bands. Ann Wilson was the first band member to mention the pairing of Def Leppard and Heart back in October 2010.
