The venue was located 9.4 miles to the North West of the city centre.

It was opened in 1972 as Universal Amphitheater.

From 2005 to 2013 it was known as Gibson Amphitheatre.

The venue was closed in September 2013 and then demolished in the same month.

The site is now part of Universal Studios.

The setlist was unchanged from the previous show for the first time on this tour leg.

The venue was previously played for the September 1989 MTV Awards (mostly playback) performance which was also the last appearance on a stage by Steve Clark.
