This show was FANTASTIC!

I loved Cheap Trick. They sounded great and I got to hear "Tonight It's You", which is one of my favorite Cheap Trick songs. I'm going to have to make a point to go and see those guys in a full show! Lots of fun!

Poison was OK - but I wasn't there to see them. Never wanted to see them live and they didn't disappoint or impress me. I did enjoy hearing "Unskinny Bop" live, though.

Phil Vasser came out to sing the encore of "Nothing But A Good Time" with Poison. He must have been in the area because of Country Thunder down in Twin Lakes (It's a very small town by the Illinois border and it just kills me that such a big show happens in this dinky little town a few minutes away from where I live). Taylor Swift played there Thursday night and I think Tim McGraw was playing the same night and at the same time Def Leppard was on stage in Milwaukee. I couldn't help but wonder if they boys had a chance to get together with either Taylor or Tim while they were all in the same area.

Our boys were in top form. Joe's voice sounded amazing and Sav was running around like a madman!

Viv spent much of his time on his side of the stage or up on the risers by Rick, who was playing and grinning away as usual.

Phil looked to be feeling better (he's been suffering from the flu). His eyes didn't look as puffy as I'd seen them in pictures from previous shows and he wasn't sweating as bad as had been reported from people who'd seen the last couple of shows. I'd venture to guess it was normal sweating because it was hot on stage. I don't think it ever really cooled down from the flame throwers Poison was using!

The side video screens showed lots of footage of Phil's fretwork via a guitar-cam. That was really cool to see. They had another camera set up so you could finally see Rick's fancy footwork as he played the drums, which is something I'd always wanted to see and was amazed by.

As always, I had a great time and can't wait for our boys to come around again!!
