Detroit/Clarkston, MI - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Emily

I just have to start out by saying that this was the best show that I've ever been to! It all started out with Cheap Trick. They were absolutely wonderful. Along with being a Def Leppard fan, I'm also a huge Cheap Trick fan, so this was a dream show for me. Cheap Trick rocked during their entire set, which, in my opinion was way too short. I just wish they could have played for more than forty minutes. They played two new songs, which were wonderful and also threw in a rarity that hasn't been played live in a while, "Never Had A lot To Lose." I ended up with several guitar picks, including one handed to me by Tom Petersson, the bass player. They had a great set list and put on one heck of a show!

Next up was Poison. Bret really had the crowd going. Again, I'm not really much of a fan, so I didn't know all of the songs completely. But one thing I do know is that the crowd loved them.

It was now time for Def Leppard and the venue was packed. Before I knew it, Def Leppard took the stage and began an awesome hard rocking show. "Rock Rock ('Til You Drop)" sounded great and is the perfect opener for Def Leppard. The crowd went wild as the guys went into "Rocket." They were moving all over the place and were in great spirits. This was probably the most energized show I've ever seen from them. "Animal" was great as always, followed by "Too Late For Love," which sounded perfect. The show continued on, and when it was time for the acoustic set, the crowd was ready to sing. I thought that the response to "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" was great. After the acoustic set, "Switch 625" was played, which is a great part of the show. Next up was "Hysteria," followed by "Armageddon It." Both are great live tunes. By the time "Rock Of Ages" came around, the crowd was still wanting more. The crowd was definitely loud during the short time before the encore of "Let's Get Rocked," which has been a great choice as the encore this tour. All in all, it was an amazing show, and definitely the best one for me yet!
