Uncasville, CT, USA - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Gwynneth

Hey everyone, Just got home - spent the night in the Boston area and then made the drive to NH this morning. I thought the show absolutely rocked! It was great -short-but great! I was pleasantly surprised at how good Journey was and didn't realize that the drummer and Jonathan Cain sang so much. I was in the section that belonged to the "I don't stand" club and they finally got on their feet when they played Don't Stop Believin'.

As for the boys, they were awesome! The new set is great - I really enjoyed watching Sav, VIv, and Viv take their turns on the upper catwalk. Joe's voice sounded great and he really got the crowd movin' and shakin'. I haven't seen this mentioned yet but I LOVED Sav's bass solo before they played "Rock On". Wasn't that awesome! Foolin' sounded superb as did Rocket. I also missed Promises and BOTH but I guess that's what happens when there is a shorter set list right?

Everyone looked amazing and, every time the camera was on Rick, he had that beautiful smile from ear to ear! Oh, I forgot to mention, weren't the streaming pictures during Rocket really cool? It was so great to see all the old photos of the boys and several of Steve. Simply awesome!! I picked up the tour baseball hat as there are no programs on this tour. Bummer! I already bought the YEAH shirt online and DEFinitely check out the hat as it is really well made and classy too! All in all, great evening and another 5 star performance from the Leps. Just makes me that much more excited to see them again in September!!

The show was spectacular! Our boys sounding at the top of their game. (As much as I love them, I think they sounded better this year).. They had 1 long huge digital video, which was phenomenal! At times, the way they showed some photos of old and new made me weep. I think Joe only talked a couple of times (understandably so), except for the end to introduce Rick. The only downfall is that its too short. 80 min. is not enough. This was definitely one of the best nites in my life, what would have made it better.....If I would have met them.

Never been to the place so we got Lost about a hour behind Me N my friend decided to gamble a little while journey was on stage .. My friend won $30 bucks I won nothing.. On to the concert, It seem liked not a lot of fans were on their feet while journey was on people started getting into it when they started singing the hits like Don't stop believin', Faithfully, Separate ways. Journey were good not great IMO.

Leps Blew the Place away once they hit the stage most people were on their feet dancing & singing along to every song..Loved Rock On one of My favorite songs Live & Sav did a GREAT Solo at the beginning of it.. They played Let's get rocked didn't see it on your set list. I was so into the song Rock'n out to it teehee.

There were a few in my section and others I saw sitting, even my friend did and I told him to get up..Loved how they have the stage setup seems they have more room to move around then last year and the Leps seem to have more fun then recent tours I think. Joe Sounded great his voice held every note.. once the show started it seem to Quick to end.. I hope in the near future they drop the other acts and tour on their own playing two hour shows like their supposed too. This is one show I Will not forget..As we were leaving the battery died as getting lost wasn't enough lol.

Got my t-shirt, Pics to remember the concert and Hope to catch another show this year!.

If anyone knows Mohegan, I was in section 14 (Phil's side) and about 10 rows up from the stage - excellent for seeing everything on the stage and on the screens above the stage! I went alone but all the people I met around me were great and ready to have a good time.

The Leps came on around 9:30 and I knew "Hellraiser" was their opener so I was prepared to start screaming from the get-go :)

Everyone was right on and the energy level was off the charts! I was disappointed that they didn't play more stuff from the new CD, only 3 songs - no "20th CB" and no "Hangin on the Telephone" - and was surprised that they played "Foolin'" which I heard was cut, like "Slang" and anything from "X" and "Euphoria"! The guys were spot-on and I can't wait to see them again in a few weeks!
