Cincinnati, OH - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Amy A

I was at the Cincinnati show last night. Def Leppard were great again. I'm pretty sure the set list was the same as Chicago except Let It Go replaced MLLAM. I was happy to hear that one, but still wish I could have heard Hellraiser or another new one from Yeah! Highlights for me were Love Bites and Rocket. I think they do those great live. I love the extended guitar parts. But, of course, the whole thing was great! Over way too fast! I may have to figure out a way to go to another show!

I was down in front on Vivian's side this time. I've never been so close before. I think you sacrifice a little on sound being that close (i.e. hard to hear Phil sometimes on Vivian's side), and you don't really get to see the big picture. But, it's definitely a cool experience being that close.

Also, I got the ILAA 5 star package thing, so before the show they had a little gathering in a tent with beer and hotdogs and hamburgers (and veggie burgers!). They had a raffle for Def Leppard and Journey t-shirts (including a DL thong! -weird), but I didn't win anything. The coolest thing they had was a DL tour book signed by the band. I would have liked that one. Then most of Journey came out and took pictures, but no Def Leppard.

Hey just wanted to write and say hi to all you lucky people over in the UK that got to hear the guys back in the beginning of their climb to the top! Anyway of course the show was awesome DL never gives a bad show ever! Had really bad seats but show was still great the lead singer of Journey is out with a throat infection so they have a backup and he does a very good job! Who ever got the idea to put these two together on the road did us all a very good thing they work well together! The set was great and the songs where most of there hits with No Matter What and Rock On off there new CD!.

This was part of a trip out to Detroit to see my friend who hadn't been to a DL show since 1988! So, not only did I get to take in two more shows than normal, BUT I got to hang with my friend and experience some great fun with her!

The show was seen mostly through my camera lens, as we had 4th row tickets that I bought on eBay (and again, many thanks to Lori and Paul for making that a rockin' experience!) - and I have NEVER seen a concert that close before, so I was not only amazed at how LOUD it was but how crazy everyone was! lol Even though the temperatures soared in the outdoor theatre, the guys were just as high energy as I have ever seen them, maybe even more-so. Phil just came out without a shirt - and I give props to Joe for bothering with his jacket during "Rock On" - he must have been sweating bullets out there! It was incredible to see Sav up that close - he is just a blast to watch during a show! So glad I have more chances to see them in concert this year - I am telling everyone to get tickets and go!.
