Birmingham/Pelham, AL - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Angel

Unfortunately, we got lost and missed Stoll Vaughan and the first 2 or 3 songs by Journey had already played by the time we got to our seats. My best friend and manager, Tammy, bought me tickets for my birthday. She had never been to a concert or had the opportunity to see Def Leppard before and loves them, so needless to say, she was a lot of fun. Me, I have been to close to 100 concerts in my 43 years and about 28 or so are Def Leppard alone. Yeah, I guess you could say I am a fan, so when I tell you that they sounded and looked great, I mean it.

First of all, Journey were absolutely wonderful. This was my 2nd time seeing them this tour. They sounded great! Jeff has an amazing voice and does the songs extremely well, I think and I am very partial to Steve Perry, so that is a huge compliment coming from me. Tammy was hilarious, on our way down to our seats, she kept saying, "OMG, I didn't realize we were going to be this close!" Guess you had to be there and see her. She was blown away and in total awe all night. Between shows we talked a little and I tried to prepare her in a way since she has never seen Def Leppard or even been to a concert period before. I told her what to expect when Queen came on and everything.

Now me, since I've been to so many shows of theirs before, I took pictures while she danced and had a great time. Don't get me wrong, I had a wonderful time, and danced and sang also. She had seen all my pictures I have taken over the years, but nothing compares to seeing them in person. Needless to say she was blown away when they came out. I am almost willing to bet that she had more fun than anyone else there. The guys sounded and looked absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed it more than the Nashville show. It was doubleley wonderful with it being Rick's birthday. You see, he is only 27 days older than me. It was almost like celebrating 2 birthdays that night since that was my present from Tammy. I had an awesome time. I hated for the night to end, but I know it had to. That is a night I know Tammy (and I) will remember for a very long time. It was truly a wonderful show and I loved it! Thanks guys for doing what you do. You make people happy and let them "leave their worries behind" even if just for a little while. Love you all.
