Ames, IA - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Blaine Calhoun

What an awesome and spectacular show! Journey was fantastic. Jeff Scott Soto did a fantastic job. Deen Castronova sang Empty Arms and Faithfully perfect. This was a highlight of their show. The sound of both bands was flawless.

Moving on to Def Leppard, they started off with Let's Get Rocked, which I think is very fitting to start the show. They all looked awesome and sounded fabulous. Joe was in great voice the entire show and they all moved about the stage like a bunch of teenagers. Rick Allen was smiling the entire time. They never took a break, they went from one song right into the next song immediately.

The big highlight was Rock On. The crowd really got into it. Another big hit was Rocket. Phil And Vivian's solos were fantastic. I can't remember when they have played better. Both shows were well worth the money. I don't know how many were in attendance, but the only empty seats were in the top tier of the balcony.

After the show Joe told the crowd with his famous catch phrase "Thanks for coming, until next time, and there will be a next time!" A next time indeed! Afterwards, my friend and I went to the side of the coliseum in hopes of possibly catching them on their way out, but we were rudely dismissed, which I was deeply disappointed in. I can't wait to see them again.
