Wilkes-Barre, PA - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Maria

So. As I am sure everyone knows already. Greatest Live Show On Earth! So we arrive, enter the venue and locate Malvin. Wonderful guy. Sweetest man you can ever meet! When Tesla entered the stage, my lord the bass was intense. They put on an amazing show. I've never seen them live, but let me tell you, they are very well worth it. There seemed to be problems with the singers mic, so he kept asking for something to be turned up or down off and on through their set. Then of course Def Leppard takes the stage. The guys were all over the place, standing on crates in front of the first row, interacting with the crowd from side to side. They were brilliant. Joe even reached down and grabbed a cup of beer from a person near me and took a sip then handed it back! Wish that was my cup I tell ya! Their version of Rock On. HOLY MOTHER--it was beyond amazing. I have never heard the full song before, but once they get to the instrumental part, you will be BLOWN away. That is the sound Def Leppard needs to recapture. Naturally Phil's and Viv's shirts were removed by the 3rd song. Phil even looked over and smiled at me. Very nice moment.

Rick A as usual was happy as can be up there. As if he is ever not happy to be behind a drum kit. He just tore up that stage. Watching that man play is just beautiful in itself. Sav, well, same as usual. Struttin his stuff from one side to the other, giving the crowd what they want. Viv, just an amazing guitar player, very sweet guy as well. Phil, well, I think I've converted my friend, she seems to have the hots for him now. How can't you? Joe, looks amazing. Any weight people have stated he gained, well, he looked damn good to me up there. Joe sounded great, considering a show the night before. He also seemed to have tea in a mug up on stage. Poor guys have another show tonight. So that will make 3 nights in a row. I was lucky enough to get a backstage pass. We were seated in the catering room, Rick A came in and spoke with the Raven Drum winners, then left. So the closest I ever got to him, was 3 feet away while he was sitting behind me. I didn't get a photo with him or an autograph. But Viv did come in and speak to us for a few, signed, photos and left. Anyway, the show was amazing, I certainly can't wait for next week. I'm sure it will be a shorter set, but a treat none the less.

I thought the show was great, though the first song was a little hard to hear, maybe Joe had mic issues.

Anyway, I don't really have any specifics other than I was glad to hear "Gods of War", I think it's been awhile. I'd love to hear Rock Brigade or any other older stuff but I know it's never gonna happen so I really don't get my hopes up.

I'm a longtime time fan & I'm just happy that we don't have to wait five years between tours, I remember those days well!
