This was such a great experience for me especially because I originally thought I wasn't going to be able to attend the Oct. 17th Mohegan Sun show. I had a baby on September 8th and because I was so involved with that (as I should be right?) I didn't even realize DL was coming back to Mohegan Sun...the thought they they would be around twice in 2 years nevermind twice in 4 months was totally cool. So needless to say, I was late getting tickets and ended up with section crapsville seats. I figured at least I am going and at the arena seeing the show instead of being at home missing it.

To make a very long process and story short...I ended up through some miracle...connecting with a girl on the DL website (whom I never spoke to before) who ended up hooking me up with a 3rd row seat on Viv's side!!!!! I was so excited!! I ended up giving my other seat to my moms boyfriend. I was originally suppose to go with my mom but couldn't get 2 seats in the third row so being the wonderful mother she is she got her boyfriend to go with her. By the way....He had never been to a DL show and loved it and I think he was surprised by it...why I don't know but he really enjoyed the show. As he should have ...right...after all this is DL.

Probably the funniest thing that happened didn't even happen to me it happened to my mom. I met my mom at the show and when I got there she was waving her hands in the air because she (in her words) "saw a Def Leppard". When she came in Phil was standing there in front of her and she wasn't sure which band member it was so she just screamed "It's a Def Leppard" like 5 times and apparently Phil heard this crazy woman and looked up, smiled and waved. Pretty cool! I was shocked enough that my mom could pick a member of DL out a crowd...I guess having a daughter who has been a fan for like 18 years just sort of rubs off! Just wish I had been with her!! Figures......

Anyway got to the show...thought Bryan Adams was very good. But not the reason I was there...bring on DL!!

Thought the show was excellent I had such a great view...I took a full roll of film but they are not back yet:(.....Guys looked fabulous! It was cool to be so close to all of them and getting a really good look at their shoes and tatoos and stuff.....things you can't see from nosebleeds. The band was really energized and it was fun watching Viv and Sav toy with other on stage. Call me crazy but I always knew Joe was tall and that Phil and Viv were shorter but I really was surprised but just how short they are....or at least seemed.

I wish DL had played some older songs like High n Dry or Let it go......or even some stuff from "X" but they didn't. The set was shorter than the June Mohegan Sun show but it still rocked!! At times I thought Joe's voice was a little muffled....it felt like his sound crew should have turned up his microphone or something. However, Joe could have shown up and hummed and I would have loved every minute of it..........Can't wait till they come back around!!.

Brilliant...amazing...gorgeous Joe Elliot's beautiful voice somehow finds it's way into your heart, tugs on your heartstrings, wraps itself around your heart, and takes your emotions on a journey and back again... you're forever changed...and grateful to have heard the magic that is Def Leppard....when are they coming back to New York?! Incredible show...I would love to hear "Let me be the one" and "Now" in unplugged versions in concert.
