Saskatoon, SK - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Spyder13

Well, this was my second time seeing Def Leppard (saw them when they played here on the X tour) and this was even better than last time. And there were a lot more people this time, too. The Tea Party opened up, and played for probably around 45 - 50 mins. They were pretty good, the crowd really seemed to like them. After they were done there was a 20 or 30 minute set change.

Then We Will Rock You came on over the speakers. The lights went out just before the guitar solo, and then right after the song was done, the stage lights turned on and the band started playing Action. Even though they played the same setlist every night and I pretty much knew what song was coming next, it was still an amazing show. Hearing Gods of War, which they didn't play last time was awesome. Personally, I think they could've played a few other songs off High N Dry. I would've liked to see them open up with Let it Go, or play Switch 625 after Bringing on the Heartbreak. But even without those songs it was still great. They ended a little after 10:30, and played for about an hour and 45 mins.

Def Leppard put on an absolutely spectacular show! The first time I saw the band live was in 2003 in Regina. The stage show seemed a bit more polished than in '03 and I absolutely loved the effects on the stage backdrop - switching between the current performance and footage from videos and live performances from years past. The guys look fantastic and are as energetic on stage as ever.

Joe commented that it was great to see so many people there (although I don't think it was quite sold out). He also said that Canada has been the best market for the band. I believe that with the right support and promotion, Def Leppard's version of "Rock On" has the potential to be a blockbuster hit, rivalling Pour Some Sugar On Me. Joe's sultry voice and the amazing harmonies had me swooning!

To those lucky fans whose shows are still coming up - you are in for a great night! We won't forget you, guys - see you next time!
