Manchester, NH - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Jessie

Well the show rocked!!! Tesla was great and Lep sounded fantastic as usual. Lep kicked off the show with Action which I have never cared for live and agree with a lot of others that Stagefright or Rock Rock til you Drop would've been better choices.

They went on to play all their hits mostly off Hysteria and Pyromania, such as Hysteria, Rocket, Love Bites, Armageddon It, Women, Gods of War, Sugar, Animal and Rock of Ages, Photograph, Foolin, choosing only Rock Brigade as their token 1st album tune. Great song, but would've been just as happy to hear Wasted in place of it. :) Let's Get Rocked was the only tune from Adrenalize and Promises from Euphoria. From what I remember no songs from Slang or X were played at all.

The encore was Sugar and Bringin' on the Heartbreak which was the only High n Dry tune played as well. Great songs to end a great show.

One of the highlights of the night for me, was Gods Of War, as I haven't heard that one live since the Hysteria tour. I didn't even recognize it at first:), but it sounded great. They also played two from the upcoming covers album- " No matter What" and "Rock On", which now has me excitedly anticipating the covers album due in September. It's gonna sound great I think.

The guys all looked fantastic. Sav and Phil looked real sharp in all black, Sav w/ his black vest and black pants, Phil in a black shirt. They all looked fresh and healthy!!!:)

The behind the drums video screen idea...........I'm mixed about. It was cool when they were showing flashbacks of their career, but I also found it distracting at times too from the band's performance, depending on the song they were doing and what was shown on the screen at that time. Basically I came to see "the band" and hardly watched the screen honestly. Oh! and I think Sav liked us as an audience better than Joe did.:).

I saw the Def Lep & Tesla show on June 25th 2005, in Manchester, New Hampshire. Def Lep, ROCKED. I had 10th row but the venue was small, it looked and felt closer. I really liked the "old" footage from way back when, that they played on the big screen during songs and in between songs almost felt like an old theatre feeling.

I almost died when they played songs from ON THROUGH THE NIGHT. I managed to buy a tour book, my ONLY book EVER. And I held it up from time to time to get noticed, it sure worked..;) I will be seeing them again July 6th with Bryan Adams. ALSO I am telling ya..If you have close seats..wear sun glasses, they notice it..ROCK ON!!.

I've seen shows since the 70's, and this one was a classic. Tesla and Def Leppard should tour more-a dynamite pair! Speaking of which, a slightly sordid lass did expose in the front, leading to the comment from Joe "put those things away"!

The show was loud and a classic. If you've ever been to a reallllllly shitty show, you'll appreciate the craftsmanship and showmanship of Def Leppard/Tesla. Joe, you didn't steal from Led Zep's charisma and fame, you and the guys added and gave credence to it!.
