Show Notes

The first show in this city since April 2003 on the X/Ten tour. Attended by around 1 million people. The Live 8 shows were part of the largest TV/Radio/Internet broadcast in history with an estimated 5.5 billion people able to tune in according to press reports. The biggest live appearance the band had been a part of. The stage was set up in front of the museum building on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

BBC Interactive's Philadelphia channel showed Lep live at about 4:06-4:20 local time. Sadly BBC1 later only showed ROA/PSSOM just at around 1am. Lep were introduced by Comedian Joe Conklin of WMMR radio saying: "Philadelphia! Please welcome Def Leppard!". The band attended the dress rehearsal the day before playing 'ROA' and 'PSSOM' before going to the cancelled show in Camden.
