The venue is located in the Lapa district of the city centre and one mile to the west of the 47,713 capacity Allianz Parque stadium.
It was opened in 1988 and closed in 2006 and the windows are now boarded up as seen below on Street View.
The site had originally housed the 'Cine Nacional' cinema from 1950 before it was rebuilt as the Olympia.
The dates for this part of the tour were changed from the originally announced ones.
The original schedule had the band playing two nights in Sao Paulo on 22nd/23rd and Rio on the 24th before the schedule was rearranged after low ticket sales.
