The venue is located to the South of the city centre and part of a sports complex that also includes the 39,500 capacity Anoeta Stadium/Reale Arena.
The same complex also features the Donostia Arena which would be played by the band in 2013.
It was opened in the early 19703 as Polideportivo de Anoeta.
In February 1992 it was renamed as Polideportivo Municipal José Antonio Gasca.
It has hosted concerts since at least April 1974.
