Fan Review - By Joel Dickinson

I was stoked to see this band back again after 14 years, the last date being on my birthday in 1983 - The year I graduated High School to boot! What a memorable show!

We arrived in the early evening and there was a huge buzz everywhere you looked. Nothing but fans wanting their long overdue fix of old standards and new hits.

This band cut the soundtrack to many of our lives and was particularly relevant to us because we were close in age to this band. The loss of Steve Clark was a tragic one, and a lot of us had experienced a similar of somebody who couldn't control their demons. To see that Vivian Campbell had stepped into his spot was shocking, as he'd recently been with Whitesnake, but their loss was the gain of the fans because he could do the music justice.

The Adrenalize tour had plenty of unique points to it; chief of which was the "Stage in the Round". Being able to catch a 360 degree view of the band and on-stage gear was a music nerd's dream come true! The ladies in the crowd equally appreciated the sights of all the guys in their stage finery. It was a magical, too-short evening of some of the best music of my life, including old standards such as "Rock of Ages', "Let it Rock" and "Bringin' on the Heartache", to more recent hits like "Pour Some Sugar (On Me)" to new acoustic material including "Two Steps Behind".

By the end of the show, my voice was shot from yelling and my shoulders ached from holding my lady friend up so she could have a commanding view. I don’t recall much in the way of Merchandise at the event, but I did buy the CD on the way home, and it's still in my collection to this day. Great times!
