  • Location / East Troy, WI, USA
  • Venue / Alpine Valley Music Theatre

The first show by the band in this city since July 1983 on the Pyromania tour.

The third time at this venue and first of two nights here on this tour.

The venue is located 4.4 miles South of East Troy and within the Alpine Valley resort.

East Troy is 35 miles South West of the city of Milwaukee, WI.

It was opened in 1977.

The start of the (one end) outdoor amphitheatre leg of the tour.

The band were now using a different intro with the 'Are You Excitable' intro played after "I've Got One Question" and ending with the Scream before going into the first song.

Which was usually 'Stagefright' but at this show they started with 'Run Riot' instead. The only recorded time they opened with this song.

The rest of the show was also mixed up with future single 'Love Bites' now being played, quite probably for the very first time.

In later years Phil Collen would recall the band had to rush rehearse the song after it went to Number One to perform it live.

The single was not released until late August in the USA and made Number One on the Hot 100 chart in early October, seven weeks after this show.

It rained at many shows on this outdoor leg prompting the band to jokingly rename it the "Drought Relief tour".

Road crew member Steve Cater sadly died before this show after suffering head injuries in a motorcycle accident.

Tesla were replaced by Europe as the opening act on this new leg.

They had just released their new single 'Superstitious' taken from the upcoming album 'Out Of This World'.

A decent quality audience recording exists from this show.
