  • Location / Waterford, Ireland
  • Venue / Katie Reilly's Kitchen
  • Event / A Concert Rehearsal

The first show by the band in this seaport city which is the oldest city in Ireland.

The first time at this venue.

The venue was located on Tramore Road and also operated as a pub.

It's unclear when it opened but the name way changed later on to Halfway House.

The venue was closed in 2014 and appears to have been demolished.

Various businesses are now operating where the venue used to stand.

This was the first full show Rick played on his own since the last date of the Pyromania tour in February 1984.

He would play two shows in Ireland on his own before the four Monsters Of Rock dates, this date and the last show in Dublin.

Local band Tasc were the support act for this show with drummer Clive submitting the show poster in 2016 and confirming the correct venue.

Tasc split up in 1988. Joe had sent the band a handwritten letter before the show with all of the details of the event on it.

The venue was located not far from The Bridge Hotel which is where the band stayed.

The hotel was listed as the gig venue in an old fan club newsletter.
