  • Location / Oxford, England
  • Venue / New Theatre / Apollo Theatre Oxford

The first show by the band in this city since April 1980 on the On Through The Night tour.

The second time at this venue.

The venue is located in the city centre not far from the University Of Oxford.

It was originally opened in 1836 but the current building was opened in February 1934.

The venue was also known as the Apollo Theatre Oxford between 1977 and 2003 but was listed as the "New Theatre" both time the band played here.

A photo taken at this show of the band at the front of the stage during 'Switch 625' was used on various tour posters and on the various formats of the UK 'Rock Of Ages' and Photograph' 1984 reissue singles.

A live recording made at this venue in April 1980 was finally scheduled for release in March 2020 as part of The Early Years 79-81 box set.
