  • Location / Montpellier, France
  • Venue / Grand Odéon

The first show by the band in this city since March 1983 on the first European Pyromania tour.

The second time at this venue.

The venue is located in the centre of this city which is on the southern coast.

It was reopened as a cinema called Grand Odeon in 1927.

The interesting history of the building reveals it is quite probably the oldest venue Def Leppard have performed in with a history dating back to the 13th century.

A French media story says that in 1785 Napolean's father was buried under where the current dance floor of the venue is and with his body later extracted from its burial place.

It was renamed as the Rockstore in 1986 with the addition of the back end of a red Cadillac coming out of the wall above the main entrance (as seen below).

The second visit here of the year and a newly discovered date via Joe's mention of it on the audience recording of the following show in Bordeaux.
