It was opened in January 1977 as the Riverside Centroplex.

It was then named as Baton Rouge River Center from 2004 to 2016 before being changed to Raising Cane's River Center.

It was renovated in 1993, 1998, 2003, 2004 and 2011.

This show had only 4,000 fans in attendance which is about half of the venue capacity.
