- Location / Colmar, France
- Venue / Theatre de Plein Air du Parc Expo
The first show by the band in this town.
The first time at this venue.
The venue is located in the North of Colmar which is a town in North East France close to the German border.
It is part of the Colmar Expo/Parc des Expositions complex and is next to an Aerodrome.
It was opened in 1968 as part of the Parc des Expositions.
The venue is currently known as Théatre de plein air -Parc des expositions. The name shown above as it was written on the show ticket at the time (see Photo Galleries).
This show was newly discovered a couple of years ago and is now added to the site for the first time.
The scheduled show at the outdoor Waldbuhne amphitheatre in Berlin, West Germany on this date was replaced with this show possibly due to ticket sales as that venue holds over 22,000 people.
The Colmar venue is also an amphitheatre type venue but with a tent like roof covering the crowd and no lawn section.
The venue capacity at the time listed on the tour schedule/posters was 3,000 but it now has a capacity for up to 10,000 fans.
