The band had released their debut album in the UK on 14th March and this was their first major UK headline tour in large theatre venues.

The venue is located in the city centre next to the St. Albans City & District Council buildings.

It was opened in June 1968.

The band used the early Lep logo as a backdrop behind Rick's drum riser plus smoke bombs and dry ice.

The spoken word intro from the studio version of 'When The Walls Came Tumblin' Down' was used as the introduction over the PA featuring the voice of singer Dave Cousins from The Strawbs.

During this leg new songs 'Medicine Man' and 'When the Rain Falls' were debuted. Both would later become 'Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)' and 'Let It Go'. At some shows the band would add 'Ride Into The Sun' as an extra encore track including Oxford. The mid section of 'Good Morning Freedom' was adjusted from the January/February tour with Rick Allen's drum solo removed.
