  • Location / Santa Monica, CA, USA
  • Venue / Santa Monica Civic Auditorium

The first show by the band in this beachfront city and country.

The first time at this venue.

The first show on the On Through The Night USA tour and first night supporting the Pat Travers Band on their 'Crash And Burn' tour.

The start of a two and a half month tour supporting Pat Travers, Ted Nugent, Scorpions, Judas Priest and AC/DC.

The venue is located close to the beach and to the West of Santa Monica, a city which is a part of Los Angeles County.

It is close to the local High School and a few blocks from the famous Santa Monica Pier.

It was opened in Summer 1958.

They had landed in the USA for the first time at LAX airport on 18th May (Pete Willis was carried off the plane drunk - a sign of things to come).

Pat Traver's Band included Pat Travers - Vocals/Guitar, Peter 'Mars' Cowling - Bass, Pat Thrall - Lead Guitar, Tommy Aldridge - Drums.

'Hello America' was moved from it's usual early/mid set position to the opening song at this first American show.
