Pat Travers/Def Leppard @ Centennial Coliseum By Reno Gazette-Journal

The opening act for Friday's rock and roll party was Def Leppard, a fairly new five-piece heavy metal band from England.

The good news about this band is they present a very pleasing stage show, rounded out by some good musicians.

Especially lead guitarist Pete Willis.

The bad news is the lack of sound quality (sonic boom volume) and the fact that Def Leppard, like most other young groups, begins to sound repetitive after only a few tunes.
