  • Location / Chatham, England
  • Venue / The Central Hall / The Central Theatre

The first show by the band in this medway town in the county of Kent.

The first time at this venue.

Another show on the On Through The Night UK and World tour with Magnum and local/young acts in support.

Steve Clark celebrated his 20th birthday at this show.

The venue is located in the town centre and close to the River Medway.

It was opened in the late 1960s as The Central Hall and Theatre.

Before this it was a Bank, then rebuilt as the Wesleyan Central Hall in 1908 and then a Methodist Central Hall from 1932 to 1966.

At the time of this show it was referred to as the Central Hall but is now known as The Central Theatre.

The opener for this show is not known or there was no third band.

The show was billed as 'Heavy Metal Concert' and tickets on sale from Saturday 29th April. This was actually 19th April 1980 which was a Saturday.
