The venue went on to become The Pickwick pub and was closed in 2011 and has since been demolished.
The venue Def Leppard played has nothing to do with the High Green Workingmen's Club which is in a different location.
One local fan reports the local scouts hut next door was disturbed by the noise from the show with the scout master quoted as saying "What kid of name is Def Leppard anyway?".
